Well, for those who have seen my work here you will notice that this painting is completely different from what I used to do. I had a hard time understanding my reasons for painting and that is why I stopped for quite some time. I just didn't feel like I was doing it for myself. Its almost like I was painting in a safe way, making sure I pleased the most viewers possible...and that is a bunch of bullshit! I remember when I was younger I used to paint and draw in my own way but most of the feedback I would get was like "that creeps me out" or "what the hell is wrong with you".
You know, maybe there's something wrong with me and truthfully everybody has a side that is not as shinny as the rest but at least its honest.
Following my dad's advice on this manner, he stressed that sometimes in life you have to be willing to bother people with what you do and not always hope for a positive and pleasing reaction. This one is for my dad, who knows me better than anybody and knows real from bullshit.
I think I'm on a new page and it seems I'll have a lot to say. If you got this far reading... thank you
It's very liberating when you paint for yourself... also scary as hell what you might find inside, how vulnerable you become.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
